The Virtual Asset Service Providers Act 2025 establishes a licensing regime for virtual asset services in Kenya. Bitdax is preparing an application. No licence has been granted and virtual asset services are not offered to the public.
Central Bank of KenyaPlannedPayment and settlement functions that move value for third parties are designed to route through an institution authorised by the Central Bank of Kenya. Bitdax does not hold a CBK authorisation and does not settle third-party funds on its own account.
Bitdax publishes the status of every service. A working interface is not evidence of an approval. See the regulatory status page for the full register.
